About Us:

HAIT (Henan Institute of Technology) is located in the historical and cultural city of Xinxiang , Henan Province in China. It is considered as the best college in this city, and rated one of the best colleges in Henan. The HAIT occupies a large number of separate buildings on the enormous campus, teaching buildings, library, laboratories, stadium, track and field facilities, dormitories etc.

We are now looking for native English speakers to work at School of Foreign Languages, HAIT, as teachers of the English language.

Our English classes are designed for undergraduates, aiming to help them use English to study other subjects while developing good study habits and abilities which are expected to be developed in undergraduate courses. We also prepare students to apply abroad study by offering English workshops and TEFOL/TESL training.

About English Teacher:

• 1. Bachelor’s degree or above in English or relevant majors from a native English-speaking country. Two years of English teaching experience should be necessary. Ability to teach English-related subjects on university entrance level from our curricula. Bachelor Degree holder’s specialty in TESOL or TEFL is much preferred.
• 2. Aged under 60 and with a good health condition. No criminal record. A better understanding of Chinese culture is preferred.
• 3. 18 hours of teaching per week and two or three hours worked in English Corner(a salon for the students’ oral English practice) monthly are required. The foreign language teacher should not take any part time job out of Henan Institute of Technology.
• 4. The foreign language teacher should respect China’s policies on religion, moral standards and customs, and shall not conduct any activity incompatible with the status of a foreign language teacher.

Wages, Benefits and Treatment

• 1. Monthly salary of a Bachelor, Master and Doctor will vary from RMB 10,000 to RMB 15,000 before the tax. Henan Institute of Technology should pay foreign language teachers by month(10 months per academic year).
• 2. Henan Institute of Technology will provide a new apartment on our new campus for free during employment. Free on-campus apartment is with three bedrooms, one living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. In addition, all other necessary furniture and household appliances are supplied, including a computer, a fridge, a automatic washing machine, an air-conditioner, microwave cookware, an electric cooker, and closets.
• 3. Henan Institute of Technology will buy insurance for the teacher from PingAn Insurance company, and pay for the residence permit fee.
• 4. The Foreign English Teacher enjoys the winter and summer vacations as well as official holidays in China.
• 5. After passing the teaching evaluation every month, an additional month of equal salary can be awarded.
