International Business College of South China Normal University has three undergraduate majors in Finance (Sino-British Cooperation), Financial Management and French, and two postgraduate majors in International Business and Vocational and Technical Education (Business English in Finance and Commerce), among which Finance is a specialty of Guangdong Province. The college has an international and high-level faculty, among which teachers with overseas study experience account for more than 2/3 of the total number of teachers and more than 10 foreign teachers. The college has the Pearl River West Coast Strategy Research Center and the Cross-border Education Quality Assurance Research Center, and has established the Cross-border Education Quality Assurance Research Base together with China Education Association for International Exchange.
The college highlights the characteristics of cultivating international composite talents, integrates high-quality teaching resources from China and abroad, introduces the core curriculum of foreign partner universities’ majors, and offers all-foreign language courses together with teachers from foreign partner universities. There are 735 undergraduates and 32 postgraduates, and we receive international students from France, Canada, Belgium and other countries every year. The employment rate of the college is 100% every year, and it has been awarded as “Advanced Employment Unit” by South China Normal University for three consecutive years. 36. 8% of the students in 2019 ranked second in the university, including 67.5% of the finance majors, and 65% of the students were admitted to the world’s top universities.
The College has built a practical teaching platform with foreign universities, existing Guangdong provincial experimental demonstration center and Guangdong provincial off-campus practical teaching base, and has a financial engineering big data analysis laboratory, ERP financial management innovation laboratory, international learning practice and innovation center, VR laboratory, as well as international curriculum laboratory and international comprehensive laboratory.
The college adheres to the principle of people-oriented schooling, realizes the internationalization of training mode, internationalization of teachers and students’ resources, and internationalization of management team. It has established long-term and stable cooperative relationships with more than 20 universities in the UK, the US, Australia and France, etc. By integrating Chinese and foreign high-quality educational resources and providing various forms of Chinese and foreign exchange programs, the college provides a big platform for teachers and students to mingle with international cultures.
