About Nanchang Vocational University
Nanchang Vocational University, a private vocational undergraduate university under the supervision of the Department of Education of Jiangxi Province, is one of the first national pilot institutions of vocational education at the undergraduate level and a pilot school for the reform of the vocational undergraduate curriculum in the integration of industry and education.
The university was formerly known as Jiangxi Dayu College of Commerce and Industry, founded in 1993; renamed Jiangxi Dayu Vocational and Technical College in April 2003; changed its name to Nanchang Vocational College in April 2011; and changed its name to current name in May 2019, approved by the Ministry of Education.
The university covers an area of more than a thousand acres, with a total building area of 357,000 square meters; has 10 secondary colleges, offering 15 undergraduate majors and 47 higher vocational majors; has 823 full-time teachers and more than 14,800 students; has a collection of more than 1.1 million paper books and more than 1.23 million electronic books.
