Nanchong Vocational and Technical College started in 1904 and has 645 faculty members, including 18 professors, 103 associate professors and 203 lecturers.
The college has 11 teaching departments with 49 general specialties and 12,205 full-time students of all kinds.
The college has established cooperative relations with Bluffton University, Hesston College and Indy University in Malaysia.
In 2017, the college and France Bazel Vocational and Technical Institute jointly prepared to hold French cuisine chef training courses and jointly opened a French cuisine teaching restaurant; both sides agreed to send teachers and students to exchange visits and training.
In addition, the College and the Institute of Vocational and Continuing Education of the Technical University of Dresden, Germany, held consultations on teacher training programs, research on institutional and institutional innovation projects and joint creation of an elite teaching team for automotive-mechanical integration.
On July 2, 2020, the College joined the Arts Alliance of Universities in the Twin Cities Economic Circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region.
