Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Full Professor (PR0327/22-23)

The Department of Biology at Hong Kong Baptist University is searching for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level. While candidates with research interests in any area of biology will be considered, those with research programmes in the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: molecular biochemistry or protein biochemistry, gene regulation (including RNA biology, translational control, and epigenetic regulation), microbial molecular biology, or plant molecular biology.
New faculty are expected to contribute to the research environment of the department as well as undergraduate/graduate educational programmes. Preference will be given to candidates that show a track record of outstanding research publications and dedication to excellence in teaching and mentoring.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in any related discipline and relevant postdoctoral experience. The openings are on tenure-track with initial appointment on a three-year fixed-term contract. Re-appointments thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Tenured appointments are expected to be attained within six years.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
