A research unit dedicated to research into growth factor receptor function in the nervous system and metabolism is being established at the building of Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Changping District, Beijing, during mid 2022.

We are seeking efficient, responsible and dedicated personnel for our new laboratory in the following positions:

 

Lab manager to be responsible for general lab organization and coordination of logistic tasks, including equipment purchase and maintenance, procurement and upkeeping of consumables stocks, safety routines, and hands-on experimental work as required.

 

Lab technician to support our research activities in a variety of tasks, including reagent and sample preparation, genotyping and management of mouse colonies, as well as hands-on experimental work.

 

For both positions, successful candidates will have excellent organization skills, documented laboratory experience, as well as practical knowledge on techniques and methods in one or more of the following areas: biochemistry and molecular biology, cell biology (including cell culture), tissue preparation and histological techniques, rodent metabolic studies and behavior. Experience in drug discovery, immunology, neuroscience or metabolism research will be an advantage.

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English are an absolute requirement.
