Shanxi Technology and Business College (STBC) is a full-time higher education institution that offers bachelor’s degree, which is located in Taiyuan, capital city of Shanxi Province, three hours’ train ride from Beijing. It has two campuses with more than 18,000 full-time students and over 1000 teachers and staff. It is constituted by 13 schools and 2 teaching departments, offering 44 bachelor’s degree programs and 3 professional field study, resulting in a coordinated development layout of disciplines ranging from engineering to art, economics, literature, pedagogy, law and medical science while with its focus on management.

Job Profile: English teaching, teaching research and other teaching activities and international program promation activities.

Responsibilities:

He/she will teach English in our International Language Center for beginners and intermediate college students (small class-around 15 students) who are from different schools/departments, and may also need to teach subjects in School of Foreign Languages (bigger class- 30-50 students). Except from teaching, he/she is also encouraged to join in other activities, like out-of-school classes (counted for teaching hours), promotion program, college sports event, cultural celebrations/parties and seminars with other departments if invited (but these activities will not count for a lot of time).

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree or above in language, education or business from a recognized university, or the equivalent thereof.
2. At least two years of language teaching experience; those who have a certificate in language teaching would be prioritized.
3. Possess a strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills, be a team player, respect and care about students and their growth.
4. Should not have bad habits, such as alcoholism, drug addiction, and distorted values.
5. Those from a English speaking countries would be considered first.
