Faculty Position in Astrophysics, Peking University

Peking University invites applications for two faculty positions at the Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (KIAA) and the Department of Astronomy (DoA), starting on September 1, 2021. Faculty recruitment is open to qualified applicants in all areas of astronomy and astrophysics, including (1) observational cosmology, galaxy formation and evolution, (2) planetary systems, star formation, and stellar populations, (3) high-energy and gravitational physics, (4) particle astrophysics, and (5) computational astrophysics.

We have a large and talented student body (80 graduate and 120 undergraduate students), a vibrant postdoctoral program (35 postdocs), and 25 diverse, active faculty. RANK: We seek well-qualified applicants at the level of tenure-track assistant professor or full professor. Particularly meritorious candidates will be considered at the level of chair professor.

START DATE: September 1, 2022

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in astronomy, physics, planetary sciences or related fields, a demonstrated record of research excellence, and potential to obtain external funding.
