NZUWI Faculty Recruitment
The University of Waikato Joint Institute at Zhejiang University City College (NZUWI) is located in Hangzhou, one of China’s most environmentally friendly large cities. NZUWI was officially approved by the Ministry of Education in September 2016 and jointly established by Zhejiang University City College (ZUCC) and the University of Waikato (UW). With full collaboration between UW and ZUCC, NZUWI offers bachelor’s degrees in three disciplines: Finance, Exhibition Economics and Management (Media Design), and Industrial Design (Interface Design). NZUWI enrolls 240 freshman students every year and maintains a student population of approximately 1000 students. As an international, English-medium tertiary institution, NZUWI’s academic staff is commensurately international. The institute is currently recruiting teaching a senior lecturer and lecturers in its undergraduate Finance program.
Senior Lecturer, Lecturers (Finance Program)
Position Description:
- Finance – Design and teach courses in Economics for Finance students, including Financial Management, Investment, Computer Modelling in Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Risk Management, etc.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Finance or Economics from top universities; have at least three (3) years of relevant teaching experience in one of the above disciplines (experience teaching non-native English speakers is an advantage); strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, and evidence of engagement in research.
- Minimum of three (3) years studying and/or working in a native English-speaking country for all nationalities
All positions involve participation in the full range of faculty responsibilities, including maintaining office hours, attending meetings, scholarly research and its related activities, as well as organizing and participating in university-related activities.
