About Us
Approved by China’s Ministry of Education, we are a flagship Sino-British joint institute co-founded by Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM)—a top “Double First-Class” TCM institution—and Keele University (UK)—a leading research-led university renowned for health sciences education. As Keele’s largest joint institute in China, we specialize in integrating Eastern holistic healthcare (TCM) with Western evidence-based medicine.
Academic Focus & Teaching Model
We offer two undergraduate programs: Rehabilitation and Exercise Therapy and Public Health Management. We adopt a “4+0” model, where all studies are completed at CDUTCM’s Wenjiang Campus.
- Curriculum: 60% of courses (core majors and academic skills) are taught in English by Keele-appointed faculty. The remaining 40% cover TCM fundamentals and general education, delivered by CDUTCM.
- Quality Assurance: Academic rigor is ensured through a system of dual marking by Sino-British examiners, annual reviews by Keele’s international advisors, and UK external validation.
Working Resources & Environment
- Faculty Support: All international staff are vetted by both universities. We provide access to Keele’s online academic databases, smart PBL classrooms, and CDUTCM’s state-of-the-art facilities, including key labs, affiliated hospitals, and rehabilitation centers.
- Practical Integration: Students complete mandatory 25-week internships in either clinical/rehabilitation settings (for Therapy) or public health institutions (for Management). This offers faculty unique opportunities to connect teaching with real-world practice.
