Hanshan Normal University Native English Language Teachers Recruitment
Hanshan Normal University, located in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, P.R. China, is an undergraduate pedagogical university under the direct jurisdiction of the Education Department in Guangdong Province. The University, situated at the foot of Bijia Mountain and by the Han River, is known for its picturesque scenery and beautiful environment, making it an ideal place for teaching and studying. To meet the University’s demand of further advancement, HSNU plans to recruit native language teachers. Details of recruitment are as follows.
I. Basic Requirements
- 1. Aged above 18 and normally not exceeding 60 years old
- 2. Be in good physical condition
- 3. No criminal record
- 4. Bachelor degree or above
- 5. At least two years of relevant language teaching experience
Note: The 2-year working experience requirement could be exempted if applicants:
- 1.major in Education, Language or Teaching, or
- 2. obtain a valid teaching certificate from ones’ home country, or
- 3. obtain a valid international language teaching certificate.
II. Positions
Title: English Language Teachers (One-year contract)
Nationality: United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or other English speaking countries
Working Content & Workload: English Oral Communication, English Writing, English Speech and Debate, Cross-cultural Communication, Selected Readings in British and American Literature, Critical Reading and Writing etc. Workload:16 teaching periods per week;Attend English Corners and other related activities.
III. Remuneration Package
- 1. Monthly Salary: 9000-10000RMB before Tax
- 2. Medical insurance covered by HSNU
- 3. Full-paid salary during winter & summer holiday for one-year contract
- 4. For one-year contract, if contract is renewed for another academic year, the teacher will receive a flight subsidy of 5000-10000 RMB and a travel allowance of 2000 RMB at the beginning of the next academic year, and will have the opportunity to receive a bonus of 2000 RMB for excellent foreign teachers.
- 5. Accommodation: If needed, the University will provide on-campus accommodation with basic living facilities during contract period. Utilities will be paid by the foreign employee.
