Hunan University of Technology (HUT) – International Faculty Recruitment (Non-Language Disciplines)

1. Qualifications:

We invite enthusiastic and knowledgeable international educators to join our academic community, contributing expertise in major academic disciplines. Ideal candidates will possess strong subject expertise, maintain good health, and have a positive and friendly attitude towards China.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required for all teaching positions.
  • Preference will be given to candidates holding a Master’s or Doctoral degree, and/or those with specialized skills and experience in fields such as Accounting, Art & Design, Business, Visual Communication, Engineering, or Management.
  • Applicants must be under 60 years of age, in excellent physical and mental health, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to higher education.
  • Candidates must possess a strong ethical and professional character, exhibit robust teamwork abilities, and fully comply with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China.
  • Applicants must have a clean criminal record and no pending legal disputes in their country of residence.
  • These positions focus on teaching core academic subjects, not language instruction.

2. Employment Details:

  • Location: Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, China.
  • Teaching Load: Maximum of 16 class hours per week (45 minutes per class). Each semester consists of 16 teaching weeks.

3. Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary (after tax):
    • Bachelor’s Degree: ¥9,000 per month
    • Master’s Degree: ¥12,000 per month
    • Doctoral Degree: ¥15,000 per month
  • Annual round-trip airfare allowance: ¥10,000 (after tax), as per contract terms.
  • Annual vacation travel stipend: ¥2,200 (after tax), for summer and winter breaks.
  • Furnished one-bedroom apartment provided, including essential appliances, furniture, kitchenware, computer, and internet access.
  • Performance-based teaching bonus (after tax), determined by student evaluations:
    • Grade A: ¥2,000
    • Grade B: ¥1,500
    • Grade C: ¥1,000
    • Grade D: No Bonus
  • Comprehensive insurance coverage for the duration of the contract.
  • Reimbursement of Chinese residence permit fees.
