About Gandong College
Gandong College is located in the historical and cultural city of Fuzhou, which is known as “the hometown of talented people”. It is a comprehensive public undergraduate institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, under the supervision of Jiangxi Province and sponsored by Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government, and based on the Changjiang College of East China University of Technology. It is a full-time, high-level, applied university at the undergraduate level, which is the focus of Fuzhou City’s efforts during the 14th Five-Year Plan.
Gandong College is based on East China University of Technology Changjiang College, which was founded in 2002 on the Nanchang campus of ECUT. In 2010, it was adjusted to the Fuzhou campus of ECUT (the main campus) for enrollment and operation, and in January 2021, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and entered the public list, and was officially transformed into a public Gandong College with the identification code 4136013432.
Gandong College is located in Fuzhou City, East Lin New District, Jinxi County, with a project site area of 1028.21 mu and a total construction area of 334,500M2, with an estimated total investment of 1.5 billion.
As of June 2021, the school has 5 teaching colleges and 28 undergraduate majors. The college has more than 400 full-time faculty members (mainly from ECUT), including more than 130 faculty members with associate or higher titles. In the “Analysis Report on the Teaching Competition of Teachers in General Universities (2012-2019)” released by the China Higher Education Association, the “Status Data of Teaching Competition” of the Changjiang College of East China University of Technology is among 221 private and independent colleges in China ( It is ranked 26th among 221 private and independent colleges in China (those appearing in the status data) and first among private and independent colleges in Jiangxi Province.
