IFCEN is an engineering school created jointly by China and France within Sun Yat-sen University . Its mission is to train, in six or seven years, Chinese trilingual engineers specialized in nuclear engineering, on the French pedagogical model of scientific preparatory classes and grandes écoles.
IFCEN hosted its first class of engineering students in September 2010. The master’s degree is recognized in the European Union as a degree in engineering thanks to the accreditation of the Commission of engineering titles (la Commission des titres d’ingénieurs,CTI).
The institute is located on the campus of Zhuhai, a garden city on a pleasant scale, benefiting from a subtropical climate and an exceptional geographical location between sea and mountain, close to Macau, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
