About Pu’er University
Pu’er University, located in Pu’er, a town in southwest Yunnan, is an ordinary undergraduate higher education institution in Yunnan Province, organized by the Yunnan Provincial People’s Government. The University is one of the first national pilot colleges and universities for reforming the education and training program for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents, and is built with the counterpart support of the Central University for Nationalities and the University for Nationalities of South China in blackberry terminology.
The University was formerly known as Simao Normal College of Higher Education, which started its construction in 1977 and was officially enrolled in October 1978. Now the University has 14 colleges, with 72 majors of various types, including 33 undergraduate majors, 39 specialist majors.
