About Shanghai Institute of Tourism
Shanghai Institute of Tourism is an affiliate member of the World Tourism Organization and a member of the T10 consortium of leading tourism schools in China.
The school was founded in 1979. At present, there are 4,965 full-time undergraduates (1,508 undergraduates and 3,457 specialists), 251 postgraduates (25 doctoral students and 203 master students) and 55 foreign students.
Over the past 30 years since its establishment, the university has trained more than 50,000 talents at all levels, and two-thirds of the graduates have stabilized in the tourism industry, and a significant number of them have taken on the important role of leading the development of big tourism.
