About University of Science and Technology, Liaoning
University of Science and Technology Liaoning is a multidisciplinary university with a main focus on engineering and cooperatively development of science, economics, management, law and other disciplines. The school is located in the city of Anshan, Steel Center of China, with the National Forest Park, Qianshan on its eastern part, and the National 4A-level resort, Jade Buddha Court on its western part. Thanks to the beautiful environment and accumulation of knowledge, it is a fertile soil suitable for studying and scientific research.
The University of Science and Technology Liaoning (USTL) was established in 1948 and was one of China’s earliest metallurgical higher institutions. The university has developed into a national comprehensive university with a main focus on technology. It offers a variety of programs and subjects covering technology, science, economics, liberal arts, and law.
The school covers an area of 1.84 million square meters, with over 1 billion-yuan fixed assets, and more than 1.59 million copies of library collection. There are currently 20373 full time undergraduate students, more than 3122 postgraduate students, and 1236 faculty members in 19 colleges and faculties. The university offers 67 undergraduate programs, 20 master’s degree programs, 3 PhD program and MBA program, covering six disciplines like science, engineering, art, economics, law and management. Many majors also have the authorization to confer degrees at the equivalent educational level to master’s degrees. The university has 13 provincial level key laboratories. Its strength lies in polytechnic education, and it continues to develop its overall construction and curriculum development.
