University Profile

Wenzhou Medical University is a full-time undergraduate institution under the administration of Zhejiang Province. It is jointly established by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, the National Health Commission, and the Ministry of Education. The university is also a key construction institution in Zhejiang Province.

Recruitment Positions

• Three foreign teachers.

1. Job Responsibilities:

• – Conduct full-English teaching for courses such as “Research Discussions,” “Introduction to Medicine,” “Basic Medical English,” “Advanced Medical English,” “Health Systems Science,” or courses like “Traditional Chinese Medicine,” “Basic Theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine,” “Chinese Materia Medica,” “Acupuncture and Moxibustion,” and “Acupuncture Therapeutics.”
• – Organize and participate in teaching and research activities to promote the internationalization of curricula.
• – Guide students in scientific research practices and assist in organizing academic lectures, international conferences, and other academic exchange activities.
• – Participate in the university’s internationalization projects, strengthen Sino-foreign cooperation, and promote cross-cultural communication.
• – Abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as university policies, and complete other teaching-related tasks assigned by the university.

2. Qualifications:

• – Nationality and Language Requirements: Citizen of a native English-speaking country.
• – Professional and Academic Background:
• – Master’s degree or higher in medicine-related fields (e.g., clinical medicine, basic medicine, public health, etc.), or a doctoral degree or higher in fields such as traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese materia medica, or integrated Chinese and Western medicine.
• – Candidates with a background in medical education or scientific research are preferred.
• – Work Experience: At least two years of full-time experience in English teaching, or a major in English or education (which may substitute for work experience).
• – Alternatively, an international language teaching certificate such as TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA (a TEFL in China certificate with at least 120 hours, including 20 hours of offline courses, is also acceptable).
• – Relevant certificates must be provided as proof.
