About the International College of HTOU
The International College was founded to execute HTOU’s international talent training strategy. We currently offer two international undergraduate programs: Tourism and Leisure Management and Export-oriented Management, with over 500 students enrolled.
Our core mission is to cultivate international and application-oriented talent to support the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. We achieve this by integrating Chinese and foreign cooperation, university-enterprise partnerships, and industry-education integration. About Hainan Tropical Ocean University (HTOU)
Established in 1954, HTOU is the only full-time public university in Sanya. We are a master’s degree-granting institution approved by the State Council Academic Degree Committee and a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University.
HTOU holds several key international designations, including:
- “China-ASEAN Education and Training Center,” granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education.
- One of China’s ten “Educational Aid Centers,” designated by the Ministry of Education.
The university plays a vital role in talent cultivation for the minority areas of south-central Hainan and serves as a crucial hub for knowledge innovation, social service, cultural heritage, and international cooperation.
