Assistant Technical Officer (PR0191/22-23)

Duties include:
– Preparation for laboratory classes and research activities
– Equipment calibrations and maintenance
– Technical and administrative support for research workshops
– Seminars and conferences
– Other related tasks as assigned by the Head of the Department
– Required to work outside normal hours when necessary

Requirements:
– a bachelor’s degree in physical education, sport or exercise sciences or related disciplines with two years of work experience
– preferably in conducting cardiorespiratory and laboratory exercise tests and health-related fitness evaluation
– incumbents with skills in Dreamweaver, Flash, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop/Movie Maker and basic photography would be an advantage
– reasonable proficiency in both English and Cantonese
– strong communication and interpersonal skills

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview. The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
