About us:
Institute of Foreign Language of Shanghai Dianji University was founded in February 2003, offers two undergraduate majors of English and German, with 641 students. The institute consists of English Department, German department, College English teaching department, Graduate English teaching office, second foreign language teaching office, foreign teachers’ Office, translation research center, language and culture research center, multilingual corpus and translation technology laboratory. There are 81 teaching staff, 3 professors, 15 associate professors, 9 doctors, among them more than 30 teachers with overseas study experience. The institute has actively carried out “dual” education between university and enterprises, and signed contracts with Shanghai Shiyu Translation Co., Ltd., Shanghai Aopei Business Consulting Co., Ltd., Shanghai Language Service Base of Culture and Trade, Shanghai Yizhe Information Technology Co., Ltd., etc… to build a high-level off campus training base.

About the position:
English teacher for undergraduate English majors.
Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities include delivering up to 3 classes per academic year, each requiring 4 academic hours of lectures per week based on a term length of 16 weeks. The instructor is expected to participate in other school activities, including curriculum development, syllabus and teaching plan design, course evaluations, culture activities etc.
Starting: Before September 2022
Qualifications:
English native speaker. Applicants are expected to hold a Master Degree or above. More than 2 years of language teaching experience or the certificate in education or language is welcomed. Healthy and no criminal records.

The salary will be negotiated according to the applicant’s experience and qualifications. The applicant will receive the usual social benefits; comprehensive health insurance in China is provided.
