About the School

The School of Management at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) was established in 1979. The School adheres to the vision of becoming a first-class and internationally renowned management school in China. By 2035, it aims to develop into a globally recognized business school, building upon its current reputation as one of China’s leading management schools.

About the Department

The Department of Management Science (DMS) is one of seven departments within the School of Management. DMS offers one undergraduate program—Big Data Management and Application—and focuses on two major research directions:

1. Intelligent Transportation and Logistics Management

2. Data-driven Offline and Online Optimization Theory and Methods

Faculty Recruitment The Department of Management Science invites applications for Full Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor positions in areas related to our research directions, including but not limited to:

• Transportation and Logistics Management
• Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
• Machine Learning and its Application
• Data-driven Optimization
• Game Theory and its Application
• Intelligent Decision Making
• Computer Simulation and Digital Twin Analysis
• Behavioral Operations Research
• Econometrics and its Application

Annual Salary: USD 100,000–200,000, depending on qualifications and position.

Position Categories

(1) Outstanding Position
• Appointment as Full Professor and Doctoral Supervisor
• Eligible for appointment as Chief Professor of Huazhong Excellent Scholar
• Salary and benefits comparable to top domestic universities (no less than USD 150,000)
• Provision of first-class research facilities and comprehensive support
• Terms and benefits negotiable on a one-to-one basis

(2) Leading Position
• Appointment as Full Professor and Doctoral Supervisor
• Eligible for Distinguished Professor of Central China Excellence Scholar
• Competitive annual salary (USD 100,000–150,000)
• Research start-up funds and settling-in allowance provided according to position level

(3) Top-tier Position
• Public institution employment
• Competitive annual salary (no less than USD 100,000)
• Research start-up funds and settling-in allowance provided according to position level
