Shanghai Institute for Advanced Immunochemical Studies(SIAIS), affiliated with ShanghaiTech University, was founded on October 12th,2012. Richard A. Lerner, the founder and pioneer of immunochemistry, is thefounding director of SIAIS. With the vision of becoming the “Bell Labs” inbiomedical research, SIAIS is growing into a leading international biomedicalresearch institute that values originality and focuses on major diseases, including infectious diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer and autoimmune diseases and other important human diseases. SIAIS currently has 21 laboratories focusing on the fourcore research areas: Immuno-chemistry, Cell Biology, Computational Biomedicineand AI (artificial intelligence), and Structural Biochemistry. Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for highly-qualified candidates to fill multiple tenure-track/tenured faculty positions. Our recruitment targets, but is not limited to, researchers of neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s disease), cancer and autoimmune diseases (glioma), and infectious diseases (tuberculosis, coronavirus and flavivirus infections). We also look forward to researchers joining us who is good at new technology & new method, such as AI-driven Drug Design、Protein-design、High-throughput screening techniques.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants should have an excellent education background and remarkable track record of research in biochemistry, bioengineering, biomedicine or related field, also have innovative and independent ideas and research ability, applicants should be able to set up an independent research group, with good teamwork ability.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary and startup funds are highly competitive, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishment. We also offer a comprehensive benefit package to employees and eligible dependents, including on-campus housing and children’s schooling. All regular ShanghaiTech faculty members will join its new tenure-track system in accordance with international practice for progress evaluation and promotion.
