Candidates should
-For the Professor and Associate Professor posts, hold a PhD degree in English language teaching or applied linguistics, with extensive experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in English language and/or linguistics and/or education.
-For the Assistant Professor, hold a PhD degree in English language teaching or applied linguistics, with some experience at least at undergraduate in English language and/or linguistics and/or education.
-For the Lecturer position, hold a Master degree in a Applied Linguistics or TESOL-related area.
-Have proven record of teaching excellence, and relevant experience in teaching IELTS, EAP, ESP and content-based courses at tertiary level.
-Have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
(Lecturer-Professor, depending on level of appointment) include:
-teaching English for Academic Purposes courses (including IELTS)
-teaching language-related content courses
-designing language learning materials (curriculum development)
-hosting workshops and seminars on specific topics in English
-reviewing and revising administrative documents and publications
-tutoring and consultation
-administrative assignments
-completing other related work assigned by J-BJI.
