The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors. The School is inviting applications for the following position:

Lecturer I / II (Division of Nursing Education) (PR0491/21-22)

The School invites applications for Lecturer post. The appointee is expected to excel in teaching duties and supervising students on practicum and research projects. He/She is also expected to assume other duties such as practicum coordination, academic counselling and student development.

Applicants should possess a master’s degree (preferably a doctoral degree) in the relevant discipline and a valid Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. They should have at least ten years of relevant post-registration experience in health care with at least six years of relevant teaching experience in the tertiary education sector.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer II.

Reference salary ranges:
Lecturer I: HK$49,000 – HK$78,000
Lecturer II: HK$36,000 – HK$47,000

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
