The School of Continuing Education, one of the eight Faculties/Schools/Academy of the University and a major provider of continuing and professional education in Hong Kong, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes at the post-secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate levels for young learners and working adults. It also offers in-house training and short courses to meet the community needs and market demands. Operated on a self-financed basis, the School and its College of International Education currently employ about 400 full-time staff and 500 part-time instructors. The School is inviting applications for the following position:

Lecturer I/II (Division of Nursing Education) (PR0587/22-23)

The School invites applications for Lecturer I/II posts. The appointee will contribute to the undergraduate and master’s nursing programmes in teaching as well as academic and departmental administrative duties.

Applicants should possess a master’s degree (preferably a doctoral degree) in the relevant discipline and a valid Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong with a minimum of 3 years’ post-registration local clinical experience. Preferences will be given to those with higher academic qualifications and relevant teaching experience in tertiary education sector.

The expectation and job duty requirements will be in line with the appointed grade.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years with a 15% contract-end gratuity of basic salary. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
