Positions and Requirements

(1) Leading Scientists

  1. PhD degree, senior professional title or equivalent professional technical position.
  2. Applicants should achieve major academic achievements recognized by domestic and foreign counterparts, or selected into national talent plan/project.

(2) Young High-level Scientists

  1. PhD degree, aged below 40
  2. Applicants should have at least 3 consecutive years of overseas research experience in natural science or engineering technology filed; have formal teaching and researching positions in overseas prestigious universities, institutions or enterprises. In principle, applicants should not have domestic full-time positions (already employed ones should return to China no more than one year).
  3. Applicants should achieve outstanding academic achievements and have the potential for further development; Applicants should be influential young scholars or selected into national talent plan/project.

(3)  Top-notch Young Talent Recruitment (Young Professors)

  1. Applicants must obtain a PhD degree of overseas high-level universities or domestic first-class universities.
  2. Applicants should have excellent academic performance and gain academic acceptance; with broad academic vision and innovative thinking, and potentials to be a leader in the research fields.
  3. Below 35 for science and engineering disciplines and below 38 for human science.
  4. The recruitment has two categories: Young Professors and Pre-hired Young Professors.

Requirements

  1. Have good scientific research ability, innovative thinking, and the potentials for further academic development.
  2. Have gained a doctor’s degree from high-level universities (research institutions) at home or abroad; aged under 35; obtained doctor’s degree within 3 years when start the post-doctoral program for the first time.

ZiJin Post-doctoral Program 0.4 million RMB annual salary + research reward, etc.
Full-time Post-doctoral Program 0.3 million RMB annual salary + research reward, etc.
  1. Post-doctoral apartment provided orapartment-renting subsidy of 2,000 RMB per month.
  2. Candidates of the program are qualified for the professional and technical title evaluation during his/her work.
  3. For Zijin post-doctoral Program, the applicants should obtain doctor’s degree from overseas high-level universities (research institutions) or domestic first-class universities; can be employed for long term positions at NJUST as associate professor on the condition that he/she get  associate professor title during the program.
  4. After finishing the program, excellent candidates can apply for assistant professor.
  5. Financial support for international cooperation.

  2. Applicants should have a doctorate degree conferred by overseas high-level universities (research institutions) or domestic key universities.
  3. Applicants should be aged below 35 for the positions of associate professor and assistant professor (aged below 38 for disciplines of human science).
