Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (PR0178/22-23)

The Faculty of Social Sciences at Hong Kong Baptist University is recruiting a highly motivated and research-oriented Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to conduct research in gerontology, particularly in areas related to healthy aging, family caregiving, lifelong learning, migration and cultural diversity; and built digital environments in the aging populations. The candidate is expected to contribute to research implementation, publications and proposal development.

Requirements:

Applicants should hold a PhD with strong quantitative data analytic skills, and a background in social work, sociology, psychology, gerontology, public health, or other related fields. Experience with mixed-method and community participatory research would be an asset. Prior employment experience in research is highly desirable, but not a requirement. The candidate should be self-motivated and have a proven track record of productivity in publishing high-quality peer-reviewed research papers and grant submissions. Excellent written and oral communication skills are expected.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
