Applications are invited to a two year postdoctoral opening in Theoretical Physics in the School of Physics of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. Research profile: Research areas of current interest include the SYK model, quantum gravity, many-body quantum chaos and random matrix models. Candidates with experience in these areas are especially encouraged to apply though other research profiles, within the realm of theoretical physics and especially with a background in numerical simulations, will also be seriously considered.
Requirements: A PhD degree in theoretical physics or related subjects.
Eligibility: Candidates of all nationalities are welcome to apply. The working language is English.
Deadline: Applications will be reviewed as they are received. The starting date of the contract is fully flexible provided that the applicant has already a PhD degree.
Salary: Around 300000RMB per year before taxes. In the current year, the total tax rate was about 15% but the exact rate depends on marital status and nationality. Additional benefits include basic health insurance and travel grant to stimulate scientific exchange.
