Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (1-3 positions) (PR0318/22-23)
The Sport, Physical Education and Health Department invites applications for the above positions. The appointee is expected to conduct cutting-edge academic research, provide a contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate programme delivery, and supervise student projects, dissertations, placement at undergraduate and postgraduate degree levels and contribute to the work of the Department as deemed appropriate. The appointee should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: exercise/sport science, biomechanics, physiology, epidemiology, psychology, behavioral science, sports technology, health and special populations and health and wellness promotion.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess a relevant doctoral degree, and a very good track record of research and tertiary teaching experience. The candidates should also have a substantial publication record in high impact international refereed journals, and solid experience in course teaching, research student supervision, programme administration/ development and academic administration. Applicants applying for Associate Professor and above should be able to demonstrate extensive experience and success in grant applications.
The Assistant Professor role is a tenure-track position with initial appointment on a fixed-term contract of two to three years commencing in September 2023. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Tenured appointment is expected to be attained within six years.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
