Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (PR0251/22-23)

The appointee is expected to conduct cutting-edge academic research, contribute to academic programme development and assume high-level service and administrative responsibilities. We are looking for outstanding candidates in all areas of social work practice and research, who can complement or add to our existing strengths in social work theory and practice; mental health; application of innovative approaches in practice; smart society and wellbeing; and macro practice. Candidates who have expertise in one or more of the above areas are encouraged to apply to contribute to the advancement of the Department.

Applicants should possess a relevant doctoral degree, a proven track record of impactful research and tertiary teaching experience. They should also have substantial publication record in international refereed journals consistent with the candidate’s academic rank, evidence of potential for securing research funding, and demonstrate strong abilities in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate level and graduate research mentoring.

This is a tenure-track position with initial appointment on a fixed-term contract of two to three years commencing September 2023. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance. Tenured appointment is expected to be attained within six years. Outstanding candidates at Associate Professor or Professor rank may be considered for tenure on appointment. Distinguished candidates with strong academic credentials and outstanding academic leadership capabilities will be considered at the rank of Professor.

Rank and Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
