The Chemical Engineering Program (group of Xi Gao), is looking for 1 research fellow to conduct research projects in the catalytic conversion of biomass/plastic into high-value fuels, chemicals, and materials. Contract duration: 2-3 years
化学工程系高希教授团队招收1名博士后,开展生物质/塑料催化转化制备高价值燃料、化学品和材料的研究项目。期限: 2-3年。
The main objective of the project is to (1) catalytic conversion of plastic into hydrogen and low-carbon fuels, (2) catalytic conversion of biomass into high-value fuels (such as jet fuels), chemicals (such as polyols, sugars, phenols) and carbon materials, etc., (3) catalytic hydrogenation of biomass-derived molecules into high-value chemicals, with the application in cosmic, pharmaceutical, and food, (4) DFT investigate of catalytic mechanism.

- PhD or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Engineering, or in a relevant engineering and Science discipline 化学工程、化学、材料工程或相关工程和科学学科的博士或者硕士学位
- Strong background in catalysis (preferable) 具有较好的催化研究背景(优先)
- Good communication skills, good command of English (essential) 良好的沟通能力,良好的英语水平(必备)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment (essential) 能够独立工作以及在团队环境中工作(必需)
- Ability to author/co-author high-quality scientific publications (essential) 撰写/共同撰写高质量科学出版物的能力(必需)
