IFCEN is an engineering school created jointly by China and France within Sun Yat-sen University. Its mission is to train, in six or seven years, Chinese trilingual engineers specialized in nuclear engineering, on the French pedagogical model of scientific preparatory classes and grandes écoles.

IFCEN hosted its first class of engineering students in September 2010. The master’s degree is recognized in the European Union as a degree in engineering thanks to the accreditation of the Commission of engineering titles (la Commission des titres d’ingénieurs,CTI).

The institute is located on the campus of Zhuhai, a garden city on a pleasant scale, benefiting from a subtropical climate and an exceptional geographical location between sea and mountain, close to Macau, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

Job description :

• Prepare and deliver approximately sixteen 45-minute English sessions per week, the yearly teaching load is approximately 580 teaching sessions; Teaching can be on Guangzhou campus or on Zhuhai one;
• Regularly assess students and design exam topics;
• Participation in meetings and reflection on the syllabus;• Contribute to enriching the content on the educational platform;

Appointment requirements:

• Our college is mainly looking for foreign candidates who are Native English speaker.
• In principle, candidates should engage in mother tongue teaching of their native language.
• Applicants are required to have a university bachelor’s degree or higher, possess a strong educational background, and graduates from world-class universities in education, languages, or teacher training programs, as well as those holding a master’s degree or higher, will be given priority.
• Foreign faculty members with only a bachelor’s degree must submit a language education training certificate provided by a recognized professional institution when applying.
• Candidates must have two years of experience teaching English as a foreign language.
• Those who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in education, linguistics, or normal education, possess a teacher qualification certificate from their home country, or have obtained a recognized international language TEFL certificate may be exempted from the work experience requirement.
• The candidate will have a scientific background and have interest in sciences (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).
• The candidate will be a team player with good interpersonal skills and demonstrate team spirit and the ability to be easily accessible, which will allow him to work in a support team with his French and Chinese counterparts.
