About
The Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases of Xiamen University School of Medicine is a newly established research institution with an area of 1500m2. It is located in the Cardiovascular Hospital of Xiamen University, adjacent to Wuyuanwan Wetland Park. It has 6 research laboratories (vascular biology research laboratory, cardiac biology research laboratory). Scientific research room, regenerative medicine research room, cell therapy research room, precision medicine research room, translational medicine research room) and 2 technical support platforms (model animal center, bioinformatics and biotechnology center). The Institute has purchased advanced instruments and equipment, and built a domestically advanced and world-class biomedical research technology platform, including a stem cell and cell biology research platform, a bioimaging center, a high-throughput sequencing and nucleic acid drug development platform, and molecular biology Test platform and SPF animal room and animal experiment platform.
The Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases has a solid research foundation in a variety of disciplines. The institute combines the characteristics of “transformation” and “precision” to clarify important life activities from ontogeny to tissue aging, from cell renewal to cell death. He has profound research accomplishments in the fields of cardiovascular, stem cells, non-coding nucleic acids and tumor cell biology mechanisms, and is at the international leading level.
