The Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre is the first local independent certification body for organic production in Hong Kong. The Centre is providing organic certification service and actively promoting the organic movement to the public through mass publicity and educational campaigns. We are seeking passionate and energetic candidates who are interested in organic and agricultural development in Hong Kong to fill the following vacancy:

Senior Project Assistant / Project Assistant (PR0114/22-23)

Responsibilities:
The appointee is expected to assist the Centre Executive/Assistant Centre Executive in the execution of administrative and certification system control matters or promotional and educational activities. He/She will involve in promotional or educational projects for promoting an organic environment to students or the general public and/or interviews and writing, maintaining the website and online communication platform(s), and handling publication work.

Requirements:
Applicants should have a university degree in agriculture/aquaculture, biology, environmental science, journalism, communication or related disciplines with at least three years of relevant post-degree experience. Knowledge of certification, auditing, food safety and/or organic farming/fisheries will be an advantage.

Applicants who with less qualification or experience will be considered for the post of Project Assistant.

The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
