Teaching Assistant (Statistical Analyses) (PR0419/22-23)

The appointee is expected to assist the Language Centre in: (i) recording, managing and organising numerical and qualitative data; (ii) computing statistical analyses, such as comparing students’ performance between courses; (iii) providing support to English language courses and activities; and (iv) performing other duties as assigned by the Head of the Language Centre.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics or Information Technology and a master’s degree in a related discipline with a good English proficiency level. Applicants from other bachelor’s degrees but with statistical data management knowledge (e.g., t-tests, ANOVAs and multivariate analyses) may also be considered. Please state the relevant knowledge and experience in the application.

The initial appointment will be offered on a contract for a period of one to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Reference salary range: HK$22,000 – HK$35,000

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
