About Chongqing College of International Business and Economics
Chongqing College of International Business and Economics (formerly Chongqing Normal University College of International Business and Economics) is a private general higher education school located in Chongqing. The campus covers an area of more than 800 acres. There are two campuses, located in Hechuan District and Tongliang District, Chongqing City.
History
In 2001, the Hailai College of Chongqing Normal University was established, co-organized by the Chongqing Normal University and private enterprises. In 2002, Hailai College officially began enrolling students.
In 2013, Chongqing Normal College was renamed Chongqing Normal University, and the school’s name was immediately changed to Chongqing Normal University College of International Business and Economics.
On November 11, 2020, the Development Planning Department of the Ministry of Education issued the “Announcement on the Proposed Approval of the Establishment of Undergraduate Colleges and Universities”, which proposed to approve the transfer of Chongqing Normal University College of International Business and Economics to the current name. On December 18, 2020, with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the school was separated from the management of Chongqing Normal University and transformed into a private general college of higher learning.
Campus and teaching
The library has a collection of 1.3 million paper books, 1.46 million e-books, and 1,100 journals. The college has more than 15,000 full-time students. The school has 885 full-time teachers, 70% of which have a graduate degree or above.
