AEMG Education is a multinational organization which has a number of collaborative arrangements between Chinese universities and universities in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK enabling students to study part of their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in China and overseas.

Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine

One of the earliest Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) universities to be founded in China, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NJUCM) is a key university in Jiangsu province and one of China’s Double First-Class Universities. NJUCM is a comprehensive university offering a wide range of disciplines and degree programs. The university is also home to the WHO Collaborating Centre for Traditional Medicine.

Responsibilities

– Teach English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses to Chinese university students who may transfer to overseas universities in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
– Carry out administrative functions in a timely and accurate manner, including but not restricted to lesson planning, grading assessments, recording attendance, and providing student feedback.
– Address individual student needs and concerns both inside and outside the classroom.
– Actively participate in and encourage professional development activities with peer teachers at AEMG Branches in China.
– Attend weekly AEMG Branch meetings.
– Play a supportive role in promoting a team environment and contributing to the delivery of quality EAP courses.
– Workload: 38 hours weekly, which includes 20-21 hours of face-to-face teaching, 17-18 office/admin hours.

Requirements

Essential
– Master’s degree or above
– CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL, or equivalent
– Minimum of one year’s EAP teaching experience at a recognised provider

Desirable
– DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL, or relevant MA
– EAP teaching experience in Asia

**NOTE: as per Z Visa application requirements, only nationals under 60 years old and from the following list of countries can be granted a work visa for China: Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and South Africa.**

Engagement

– The teacher will be engaged as an Independent Contractor. This means that they will be paid for the days worked each month both in and out of the teaching period

– Teachers are paid in Australian Dollars (AUD) into their nominated bank account.

– This engagement also includes 10 days of paid annual leave during the summer or winter vacations.

– Teachers will also be paid for any professional development sessions conducted by AEMG throughout the academic year.

Location
There are two vacant EAP teacher positions starting from Autumn Semester 2025 (beginning between August to September), which are located at the NJUCM campus in Taizhou, Jiangsu Province.

Salary and Benefits
1. 5000-5500 Australian dollars monthly, depending on qualifications and experience
