Job Description:
The role of a Foreign English teacher is to help our students speak English and improve English practical skills. Those responsibilities include preparing lessons and lesson material, teaching young adult students, holding counseling sessions, assisting colleagues, maintaining records, writing progress reports, etc. You will have about 10-12 classes per week, each class for 45 minutes; there is no office hours required for this position.

Qualification

  • Native English speakers.
  • 25-60 years old.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • At least 2 years of English teaching experience, or holding a TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate.
  • Teach English speaking and western culture courses, around 10-12 classes per week.

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • Monthly Salary: 6,500 RMB for BA, 7,000 RMB for MA,
  • Benefits: 2,000-3,000 RMB monthly for commute allowance to and from Tianmu Lake campus.
  • 10-month contract. Salary raise upon contract renewal.
  • Free accommodation, free use of water and electricity.
  • If you choose to live off-campus, RMB 2,000/month rent stipend is provided
  • Insurance provided by our university. 10,000 RMB annual flight allowance.
  • Up to 10,000 RMB performance bonus at the end of the contract
  • Teach English speaking and western culture courses, on average 10-12 classes per week. In your free time, you can work on your personal project, degree or take other part-time jobs.

“Nanjing is a city full of culture and history. As a foreign language teacher you will be teaching mainly at our Jiangjun Road Campus which is about 30 minutes from city center by subway. It is right at the Cuipingshan subway station, which is half way in between Lukou International Airport and downtown. Chinesse and foreign restaurants, supermarkets, shopping malls are within walking distance. The food at NUAA is famously good among Nanjing universities. There are 6 canteens serving delicious Chinese dishes to faculty and students. Also the Jiangjun Mountain is about 10 mins walk from the campus, which is a popular hiking place. If you want to hit the downtown, take the subway for 30 minutes so you can visit various historical sites including the Ancient Wall and the Presidential Palace.
