Glasgow College, UESTC is a joint educational institute, established in 2013 by University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) and the University of Glasgow (UoG). The College offers dual undergraduate degrees in Electronic Information Engineering, Communications Engineering, and Microelectronics (taught in English). We seek to recruit outstanding full-time teaching faculty at all levels to join us to develop innovative undergraduate teaching.

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Full-Time Teaching Faculty Positions)

Job Purpose

These are full-time teaching faculty positions at Glasgow College, UESTC, aiming at developing and delivering innovative undergraduate teaching curriculums for our dual undergraduate degrees in Electronic Information Engineering, Communications Engineering, and Microelectronics.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• To teach 5-6 courses per annum in the general electronic, information, and communication engineering field.
• To supervise and assess undergraduate innovation projects, final-year projects, and BEng dissertations
• To contribute to the continuous optimization and reform of our on-going undergraduate curriculum systems
• To contribute to the management and organization of teaching activities at the College, as assigned by The University of Glasgow and UESTC.
• To participate in the College Teaching Committee and engage in other teaching-related activities
• To publish research papers aligned with the College’s endeavor of teaching excellence

Knowledge Skills & Experience

• PhD (or equivalent) in related discipline
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English
• Be passionate in teaching and have sufficient teaching experience. Track record of proved ability to develop and devise teaching programmes, techniques and methods.
• For appointments as associate professor or professor: a substantial track record in teaching excellence and an internationally recognised reputation

Remuneration and Benefits

• A competitive salary, ranging from 250,000 CNY to 550,000 CNY per annum
• Full relocation allowance, monthly housing allowance, and social insurance and medical benefits according to nation’s policies
