The International Business College (IBC) has three undergraduate majors: Finance (Sino-British cooperative program), Financial Management and French; two Sino-foreign cooperative graduate majors: Master of International Business and Master of Vocational Education (Financial and Business English), of which the Finance is the Featured Major of Guangdong Province. The college has a high-level international teaching staff, more than 2/3 of the teachers having the experience of studying abroad, and more than 10 being foreign teachers. The college has the Pearl River West Bank Strategic Research Center, Cross Border Education Quality Assurance Research Center, and the Cross Border Education Quality Assurance Research Base co-constructed with the China Education Association for International Exchange.

The IBC highlights the training characteristics of international composite talents, integrates high-quality teaching resources at home and abroad, introduces core professional courses from foreign cooperative universities, and jointly sets up foreign-languages-taught courses with teachers from foreign cooperative universities. At present, IBC has 735 undergraduates and 73 postgraduates, and international students from France, Canada, Belgium and other countries are enrolled every year. The annual employment rate of the college remains at 100%, and it has been rated as the “Advanced Unit of Employment Work” of South China Normal University for three consecutive years. In 2020, IBC postgraduate enrollment rate is 37.34%. Especially in Finance major, postgraduate enrollment rate reaches 77.08%, and 64.5% of Finance students have been admitted by world top universities.

The college and foreign universities jointly built a practical teaching platform. At present, the college has set up Guangdong Provincial Experimental Demonstration Center and Guangdong Provincial Off-campus Practical Teaching Base, and has a Financial Engineering Big Data Analysis Laboratory, ERP Financial Management Innovation Laboratory, an International Learning Practice and Innovation Center, a VR Laboratory, an International Curriculum Laboratory and an International Comprehensive Laboratory.

The college adheres to the people-oriented principle of running a college, and is on the process of realizing the internationalization in training mode, teachers and students resources, and management team. It has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with more than 20 colleges and universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, France, etc., and provides teachers and students with an international cultural integration platform through the integration of high-quality educational resources of China and foreign countries, and the provision of various forms of Sino-foreign exchange programs.

In order to speed up the internationalization, International Business College is now openly recruiting 7 academic English teachers from home and abroad.

I. Talents: We Are Looking For Academic English Teacher

1. Requirements

The applicants should have already acquired master degree or above qualification. The overseas talents returned from English-speaking countries are preferred. Chinese applicants both of undergraduate and graduate are required to graduate from English-related majors, such as, but not limited to English Language and Literature, English Education, Applied Linguistics, Intercultural Communication, Translation. Holders of CELTA or authoritative TEFL/TESOL certificates are preferred. Foreigners are required to be English native speakers, and are from the following countries like the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and etc.; foreign applicants should have at least 2 years of English teaching experience; Graduates in education or linguistics are preferred.

2. Salary and Welfare

The annual salary of Chinese applicants starts from 120,000 RMB; the annual salary of foreign applicants starts from 160, 000 RMB. For teachers who teach joint education programs students, International United College will provide a subsidy of 20,000-40,000 RMB per year depending on the applicants’ education qualification and titles.

The recruited staff enjoy deserved treatment and attend social insurance, including endowment insurance, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, employment injury insurance, maternity insurance, and deposit housing fund according to the law.
